I love this grey leafed plant. It was grown from a cutting given to us from Mum's lovely friend Olwyn.  It's about to flower.

Such a delicate flower. Aquilegias.

This year the cherry has burst into leaf prior to blossom. What the heck is that all about!

Those gaps are starting to fill out now.

I have no idea how to attack this little creature. It has wings. Will have to google it.

The hollyhocks are already covered in holes.

This little leucadendron is called Harvest. It is so pretty.

Bill has been doing a fantastic job with Pippi Rose. She was very reluctant to let us near her when she arrived a few weeks ago. She will have her baby here at Frog Pond Farm. 

We hope all five horses will find loving homes.

Flynn is still waiting for baby White to arrive.

The sheer joy of Spring at last

Bliss !!

 Amy's little pooches have been outside with us doing stuff ( in fits of energy that is, half an hour at a time for me).

It feels so good to be out in the garden again, not that I can smell anything.

Some weeding, some planting....anything really as long as we're out there.

I dug some holes to plant these in the two new beds we created.....

......and each hole dug looked like this.

Very exciting seeing so many worms doing their thing.

The plants were separated from a clump of phlomis I dug up back in April. I managed to get 20 smaller plants from the clump and 19 of them survived the butchering and subsequent care in pots. Yesterday I started planting them out in the rose garden beds. They grow to one metre tall so create that all important vertical element to the garden.

Eighteen roses have all formed healthy roots in propagating mix collected back in April.

Banksias and red carpets.....pity I neglected to label them.

Just finished  repotting them all and will wait for them to flower to see which is which. Banksias will go around the fence line and red carpets out the front.

It was as though all my Christmases had come at once yesterday when these arrived. 

There are over one hundred box plants and some gorgeous daisies.

I am going to plant the box plants around the four quarters of the rose garden to enclose the liliums.

Thank you so much Judy and Graeme. It was very kind of you to think of us and nurture these little plants for such a long time. It was wonderful to see you both yesterday after being in quarantine for days now!!

We had FaceTime with Flynn last night.
