Helen and her girls....her sisters Claire and Alice.

This adorable bubba....Remi. Helen's niece.

Boys catching butterflies during the speeches.

The marquee with hanging foliage hoops. Five in all.

I wonder whether Mum would have ever thought that she'd attend a same sex wedding in her lifetime.....

Nana holding court with her young grandsons....

Evening walks in the paddocks....

All photos on this blog were taken by Ali from Smith + Archer.
I have loved being able to share them with everyone so soon.
I think that'll be all of The Wedding for now ....... :)
I will be sure to show Amy and Helen the lovely comments that some of you have written.
PS  I've already started collecting seeds of cosmos, Queen Anne's Lace and hollyhocks. Apparently, the seeds of the straw flowers are at the ends of the petals!!! Who would've thought! Can't wait to see what self seeds next year.

The Wedding...... Part Two

This red flowering gum has burst into bloom.
Right now, it is my favourite sight in the garden.

Along with this inspiring book from Sam and Kiann, it has made me fall in love with natives all over again.

Helen has used it in her bouquet.
( all photos in the rest of the blog have been taken by Smith +Archer).
Ali, your photos are simply superb.

The brides both used vintage cotton lace to tie their bouquets together.
It was in a couple of old boxes from Bill's Aunty Audrey's place.
We're not sure of it's origins but it is exquisite.
Sue and Jo, you may know the history of the lace.

Amy fashioned some confetti holders out of vintage music sheets from the op shop. We filled them with dried rose petals from the garden and placed them in an old wooden box from Pa's shed.

More vintage.....
In the form of Wanda....a gorgeous caravan bar.

Kirsty kept everyone well hydrated during the whole celebration.

Some behind the scenes.

Bunting flags from old lace curtains recycled from Jacqui and Kim.
Old rolls of twine to sew them to came from Pa's shed.
The Wedding Walk.....from the car park in the paddock to the rose garden.
If you're thinking it looks hot and windy, you're right.

Bill took this photo of our precious magpies keeping cool.
By the look of the birdbath, they're probably squarking for him to fill it up with water!

Keep cool today everyone. It's a typical Aussie summer scorcher.
PS Still haven't shown you everything......there'll be more!
