Two weeks

Picking...... these beauties. Bunches for the farmshop and some for us.

Watering ......everything!  Especially the pots.......every second day.
Collecting......seeds of cosmos, Queen Anne's Lace, cleome, hollyhocks and strawflowers.

Arranging ......flowers for my little farmshop.

Cutting....all the hollyhock stalks and deadheading the shasta daisies.
Printing.....the labels for the seed packets.
Researching.....farm trees to replace the acacia melanoxylon that all turned their toes up.
Identifying .....(trying to ) the trees we already have. I am fascinated by trees and all their peculiar characteristics. The bark texture and colouring, the leaf shape, the seed pods.

This piece is from the big tree out the front that sheds ribbons of bark continually.

Imagining.....how gorgeous these bulbs are going to be in spring.

Watching .....a program about the Hubble telescope. Fascinating.
Eating....the freshest, sweetest blackberries, picked from just up the road.

Listening to.......a kookaburra just passing through. Oh how I wish they would make their home here.
Noticing....the blue banded bee again and hoping to see the leaf cutter bee that everyone keeps talking about. At the moment we have squillions of bees in the garden.
Pondering....where to locate our insect hotel. A perfect gift from Amy and Helen ( I'm sure you could make some of these Bill...).

Auditioning.....fabrics for backings and bindings of quilt tops that need to be quilted and finished. Including this one called Up Parasol.

Admiring....the fact that Bill has started his early morning walking routine again and takes a bag with him to collect the rubbish he finds along the way.
Loving.....these beautiful little rascals.

Looking forward to....seeing what these delicious seeds are going to look like.

Wishing......that Jimmy and Violet rabbit would leave our zinnias alone.

.......so that they can grow up to be like this....

Looking forward to.....planting some bulbs in the potager. Sadly the veggies haven't been hugely successful.

Enjoying....how these sunflowers look against the fence.

Marvelling at .....the brilliant skies we've had recently.

Reading....

Enjoying.....my walks around the garden path.

Looking forward to.....going to an event with Viv next week. "An evening with Kaffe". This is his new book.

Now, back outside to see if I can identify any more of our trees.....

Have a great week everyone.
