They did such a good job that we’re thinking of hiring them every year.

My little road side flower cart has kept me very busy during the last four months of the year.

We have a break now until Spring next year. I’m about to start poring over some Spring bulb catalogues. I love a catalogue and the anticipation of what is to come.

……..as well as a bit of …

They had shown me this picture of a baby blanket and wondered whether I’d be able to make it for them.

I was so happy with myself and now I have a new obsession. Crochet.

We missed half the gang for our group photo on Christmas Day.
There was the usual shuffling around though…..
So much delicious food ( for some reason, there’s no photo of our lunch. Sorry Leesa and Andy. I must have been too busy devouring it!)
Our recently introduced KK gifts with some new rules.
Two little poppets to feast our eyes on…..exploring everything and getting to know us.
It was such a bonus having a pool to jump in just outside the back door. We were entertained with Olympic performances of water bombs, coat hangers ( ? Uncle Den’s specialty ) and underwater laps of the pool ( Ned’s specialty ). Nelly, the little Jack Russell, joined in for some ball retrieving practise and human rescues when she thought there was a need.
Finally, an evening wander around the farm and a glimpse ( one particular viewing that could hardly be called a glimpse !) of all the animals that call this place home, before we all headed off to bed.
Such is life on the farm. You never know what you might witness.
We flew to WA in October with Sam to see our little ones. It was an absolute joy to see their little faces again.
One of our highlights recently was a visit from Uncle Bob and some of his family. Cheryl had driven over from WA to catch up with everyone.
It’s was a treat to have a visit from Brenda, Claire and Sara too.

I’m looking forward to reading these over the Summer……
……..as well as a bit of …
We have some very exciting news…..
Amy and Helen are expecting their first baby next May. It’s their fifth IVF attempt.
Amy is carrying Helen’s baby. It’s called Reciprocal IVF.
We still can’t believe it!
This is Pearl.
Pearl will make a wonderful little playmate for their new baby.
They had shown me this picture of a baby blanket and wondered whether I’d be able to make it for them.
It’s a crocheted blanket.
I had no idea how to crochet.
But after watching a million videos on you tube to learn how to do all the stitches, I made this….
I was so happy with myself and now I have a new obsession. Crochet.
I’ve started this blanket. There are 16 octagons to make and this is the first…..still in progress. I’m hoping to get better at it by the time I reach number 16.
One day, it will look something like this…..
That’s me right now.
Can’t help myself.
Also me right now….
Wishing everyone a very happy new year.
PS. I’m thinking of going to Iceland next year. Two of my favourite things.
