Hello Spring

.....you gorgeous thing.
We have been home for a week now and much of that has been spent in the garden ( who would think...!), Bill mowing every piece of grass he could find, and me, weeding, cutting back dead stuff and closely inspecting all the spring bulbs that have popped up while making mental notes to plant more of.......well, everything to be honest.
 Like these for example...

Oh, how I love that orange trumpet, Jonquil Geranium.
I planted them in some tin things that I had collected from Dad's vegie patch. They look so pretty near our door.

Another orange trumpet....

And another...

Just as beautiful are the pale trumpets, like this lemon one.

Swathes of pretty mauve and purple.

And buds of all sorts ready to unfold.

The Cherokee Rose hasn't flowered for us before. It was grown from a cutting that we planted several years ago. It has buds for the very first time and I can't wait to see them open.

Leucadendrons still look gorgeous.

The frogs have gone bonkers and these frothy little tennis balls have appeared in the last few days. The night noise from the pond is enough to wake the dead!

And then just at bedtime, this little guy appeared half way up the window.

Bill and his Dad and siblings, Sue and Jo celebrating Fathers Day.

Sue was thrilled to receive our  family footy tipping trophy this year. Mum reluctantly relinquished her two year hold on it!

 Our precious little ones.

Sewing for Kiann's shop.
These funny little bunny ears are teething rings. I can only remember a funny coloured, rubbery, round thing when our kids were little.
Flying by the seat of my pants again trying to work out how to turn them inside out without all the stitching coming away. Wasted three but think I've got it now!

And a few more bibs.

I've been trying to think of a quirky sewing name for myself so that I can add a tag ( that's another thing I love, just like wine labels ). Everything I've come up with so far hasn't passed the Bill and Amy testing ground even though I thought they were great!
 So I'm still thinking.
