And all this time he'd been thinking that he was just picking up rubbish from the sides of the roads when he went for a walk. Apparently, if you pick up rubbish when you're out exercising it's called plogging.
I love that it's become a thing.
On the other hand, I don't have time for plogging.
I need to get in 30 minutes of walking quickly. I can't be stopping every two minutes to pick up rubbish. That's called strolling......a different thing altogether!
Our road has never looked so rubbish free though thanks to Bill.
Around the garden path recently ( not that much actually).
I've been nurturing three little random billy buttons in our Ruby Garden.
One morning last week much to my horror, I found this.....
Not a big deal I know but I'm trying to make this part of the garden something a bit special with flowering natives and that includes billy buttons and straw flowers, both instant green food for rabbits.
Bill and Sam came to the rescue using some star pickets and a huge roll of wire from the tip shop. It won't keep the kangaroos or cockatoos out but just may deter the rabbits.
I couldn't resist ordering some more seeds of strawflowers.
These will be scattered in the Ruby Garden too.
In fact, I ended up ordering seven packets of different flowers altogether including this one....a chocolate Queen Anne's Lace.
They all arrived in the mail yesterday and I can't wait to start scattering.

The most unusual pale lemon perfumed flowers on bare branches. Difficult to photograph because the flowers hang down but this is the most flowers we've ever had.
