Green, yellow and pink

I'm loving a bit of green at the moment.
Must be a summery thing.

Our poor painter opened the paint tin ready to start a day of solid painting and couldn't believe his eyes.
It's meant to be this.....

Oh dear!
And the ceiling paint wasn't White Opal.
How the heck did that happen?

So he turned his attention to the other bits that go around the windows ( there is a name I think) neatly arranged in Bill's shed.
Good to see it already being put to good use.

Our timber for the floor arrived today.
It's called Wormy Chestnut.

It's a variety of timbers....many with imperfections. We love our imperfections in this place!

Plaster dust vacuumed up each day.

Our kind neighbours left these on our doorstep this morning at 5.

I felt like I should have been conducting a science experiment with my sticky yellow sheets!
What bug is this? How many of those?
I haven't solved any problems though.
There are many insects stuck on those sheets that I don't even recognise.
And perhaps the leaf damage could be from any one of them.

Bertie's shed is finally up and our distant back yard view is closing in. We even think we could have sited it a bit differently now, but gosh it's hard to visualise those things when it's all bare.

A feast for the eyes and heart.....

More babies......Bill discovered this gorgeous little family a couple of days ago. We counted 12 ducklings.
We had almost given up on a family of ducks this year but lo and behold, on Sunday morning, there they were. Beautiful!

The bulge is starting to look like a rocket ship ready to launch!

Such a pity the grass has dried up so soon.

And our first hollyhock has bloomed. It's pink! What a surprise!

It's Remembrance Day. We have remembered and always will.

  1. Plenty of plaster dust haha. It'll keep happening until he's done though unfortunately. Glad you didn't go with the paint colour in the tin!!! The floor will look awesome. Very good choice

    1. Yep, the plaster dust etc is everywhere because it's all an open space right up to our bedroom door. That's why the whole ceiling needs to be painted too. Didn't like the green ?? We think the floor will be awesome too. Much character... xx
