Project Update....a mystery no more.
Farmer Bill has been out and about scavenging again, this time for me.
These pallet pieces came from Masters in Sunbury, free to a good home!
They were turned into this.....
......with a bit of measuring and eyeballing.
Still some bits to play with including some capping on the roof...may be some of Pa's rusty old iron.
It will be loaded onto the old timber trailer to become my new Farm Shop.
Can't begin to tell you how exciting it will be. My brain has been in overdrive just thinking about it !
The whole idea started when we decided to bag up the horse manure and put it at the front gate to sell and give the proceeds to the Horse Rescue group. All the horses we have here now are rescue horses.
I then decided that I could also put out bunches of flowers from our garden and sell those too ( that's the pretty bit ). And that's when my brain took off at a rate of knots and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind.
Now to start thinking about the signage.
This would make the perfect sign.
It's the bonnet from Bill's moke salvaged from the fire.
Once I googled signage, I was taken into another new exciting realm of possibility! Things like :- negative space, optical centre, text size, and this one.....kerning. Yes, kerning. My new word for the day.
It seems to me that the whole signage thing could require a complete blog post of its own!
Down the garden path
One more sleep until we get to surprise our little Pilbara boy.
Amy drew this family picture for Kiann. We will take it with us.
And we will also take this Cot Quilt for Baby White when he/she arrives in September, commissioned by Kiann (I think she secretly just wants to use it in the lounge room).
I have gathered together my flight requirements.
No travel sickness tablets yet.
Mmmmm....might just get them out just in case.
The Country Style magazine arrived in the mail today. How perfect.
And I discovered that chocolate is great for travel sickness.
Fancy that!
Amy will don her farmer girl boots and feed the horses while we are away.
She will do a great job.
Something that made me smile this morning.......
Two ducks zooming in to land on the dam in a whoosh of water.....and the wind blew them right off the runway and onto the bank on the other side !! They shook themselves off and then had to walk back in!!!!! Very funny.
And this afternoon.........
Better go and put some clothes in a case now.
To be perfectly honest it will be nice to see some sun again.
I hope Winter has sorted itself out by the time we get back.
Great reading as always Helen. Enjoy your time with your family in the West.XX.
