home

It seemed ages since we'd been home for a laugh ( so easy to do with Dennis around ) and a family get- together.

The boys poked around in Pa's shed and hauled out several of ( who knows how many) the lawn mowers to see if there was one that worked!
The girls pottered amongst the dust and cobwebs ( we didn't notice the cobwebs when Pa was there) breathing in Pa's Shed Smell.....that musty closed up smell of engines and oils and old things.
But we loved it and found some treasures.
Dennis has a fantastic recollection of what Dad used things for and why they were made.
This is a mulcher made from the frame of an old electrical lawn mower.

Pa was into industrial lighting decor long before it became fashionable!

And I always love seeing  the sardine tins lined up on the specially made shelf. He must have run out of room on the table so added an extension! Bless!

Mmmmm......wonder what he had in mind here.....!

Olwyn invited us out to her place to pick some strawberries.

And Amy walked to the old wheat silos for a sunset photo.

Last week the pooches came out for a run and play. This little one always stays close.

Our newest little bubba......

......is starting to lose his hair!

Jake has been busy preparing his own little nursery.......

He hopes to get some baby chickens soon. We hope so too darlin.

Around the garden path today........

Vegie harvesting...

Bless- ed are the edge makers.
Bill has taken edging to a whole new level. He bought himself another labour saving gadget and toiled away for hours and it has transformed the whole look of the rose garden.
We had eye balled edges for 20 years but these edges have been string lined!! No more eye balling here!

I have been struggling to pick undamaged roses for my Farmshop though.
The heat and wind from a few weeks ago, the aphids and the earwigs have all taken their toll.

We expected to have had a deluge whilst away at the weekend.
Couldn't wait to check the rain gauge.
3 mms.
Feeling sorry for those places that were swamped though or practically blown away.
No compromises ....it's all or nothing.

Frog Pond Farm transforms into Flemington racecourse at this time of the year......or at least that's what we think.

We will be watching those magnificent horses with new eyes and a whole new perspective.

    1. Hi Sue, happy to provide the updates! And happy that you're still reading along. Just worked out how to format the photos a bit differently and also how to add text to the photos. All takes a bit longer though. I'm sure it all looks like it only takes me ten minutes!! Xx
