These two seem to think they've got the place staked out. They're raucous and quite destructive in the garden but I can't help admiring their audaciousness.
A quick catch up of the week and a walk around the garden path.........( while my suitcase remains empty).
Cherokee Rose.
First time flowering ever! It has scrambled up the birdhouse pole and spread out over anything within reach. But oh how gorgeous. I do love those single roses.
Others are starting to bloom now too. I think this is Blue Moon ( it was already here). Strangest colour but the perfume knocks your socks off.
Spanish bluebells......
Argyranthemum LaRita Rose with its pretty daisy flowers.
Herb basket.
I'm not sure whether it's the perfume or the different textured foliage but there is something so appealing about a bunch of herbs. Especially with garlic chives in the mix.
Rhodanthemum African Eyes......so easily propagated. I call it Judy's Daisy.
We really don't have suitable woodland conditions here for rhododendrons but we've put this beauty in the only possible woodland bed ( it was a gift ). The copious rain of recent weeks has done wonders for it.
Apple blossom.
No words. I adore it.
We are blessed to be able to gather it by the armful.
A beautiful bouquet for Amy's birthday ( from Helen).
I love vintage linen.
This gorgeous sheet was found in an op shop for four dollars ages ago.
We used it as a tablecloth at Amy's party.
Homegrown banana passion fruit and mandarins.
On my bedside table this week.....
On Bill's bedside table....
A photo from Instagram that inspires me to "gravel" the paths in the rose garden. Just need to convince Bill. I'm really trying to save him work in the long run.
I've got my chocolate ready for flying, just need to grab a coffee at the airport. I have no idea what it is about this combination that "helps" me fly but I'm running with it!!!!
We are so excited to be seeing these little faces.....
Kim and Zach are going to Bali too.
So are Leesa, Ned and Jake.
It'll be fun.
Mmmmm, on second thoughts that'll probably be me!
