Renus and Phyl have the most beautiful country garden not far from Mum's.
So much colour and joyful bits everywhere, including the noisiest, raucous welcome from this little guy.
Thank you both for being so welcoming and sharing your joyful garden with us. I loved the bag full of cuttings you kept gathering and your precious tins.
Around the garden path at Mum's.
She feeds her precious magpies every day....the crusts from her one slice of toast!
Dad's vegie patch.
The almond trees are groaning under the weight of the almonds.
......and the pomegranate tree has never looked so healthy.
Bill emptied this trough that has been sitting there for years with dirty, mosquito infested water. I have no idea what Dad used it for but it just kept filling. Not anymore.
We took Mum to see the Sheep Hills silos while we were up there. They are not finished yet but are a great addition to the silo art trail that is currently taking place up in those little rural towns.
Sew and sew
A new "fat quarter" to play with.
A new batch of eye pillows.....
.....and their fancy pants backs.
Some more modern blocks for the collection of 100.
I'm also having a play with some rose petals.
I'm thinking of putting them in my Farmshop.
Around the garden path at our place.
Still plenty of roses to pick.
The first of our liliums. I adore them.
The feijoas that skirt the orchard have put on some beautiful new growth.
We loaded up some old iron from Dad's shed while we were there to put on the Farmshop roof. Bill nailed it all on for me and tucked in some insulation from Dennis. It might help keep the flowers a bit cooler.
Note to self.....paint the sides black but leave the old wooden trailer as is.
I made a wreath for our gateway out of foliage.
Posted some Christmas activity bits and bobs to Flynn and Archer...
Helen and her lovely Mum came to our place for lunch yesterday.
Brenda and I chatted our heads off (using hand signals and wearing our fashionable headwear).
While Helen was..........mmmm..just exactly what were you doing Helen??
Brenda, this is for you.....(and me).
Everyone.
Dad used to keep the little Redfin in the trough for bait. That's what I remember . Xx
ReplyDeleteOh that's right.....so he did! And it's continued to keep filling up with water ever since!! Not any more though. Xx
