Stall number Four

Frogpond farm shop had its first " away-from-home" experience last weekend.  With just an afternoon to get organised it was all hands on deck.
Our local Early Learning Centre was having an Open Day and one of their educators asked if I would have a flower stall there.

Sigrid helped me pick the roses and lavender ( I needed to keep it simple).

Sam stuck the containers to the birdhouses so that I could take them too.

Bill and Sam gathered together the old door to use as a table, the signs and Pa's rusty old saw horses to go under the door.
I also threw in the old watering can and the copper full of pansies to pretty up the stall.
And off we went. The boys helped me to set up ( under instruction) and promptly left.

Finally.......after four long hours ( so many things I could have been doing at home ! ) it was time to pack up.
Nine beautiful jars of roses and four bunches of lavender were sold.
And in spite of being very grateful to the people who bought them and the lovely people I met there, market stall life is really not my thing.

Cam and Eliza were married a few weeks ago.
We celebrated with them in the garden at Fortuna Villa in Bendigo.
Such a grand old place full of intrigue for me.
A beautiful location for a beautiful couple.

Stunning.

And thanks to our own Aunty Sue for the following ones.
Sam couldn't resist ......

The stunning conservatory.

Delicious desserts ( already devoured) and a cuppa.

The flowers were divine. Australian natives mostly.

It was all the inspiration I needed to purchase six new kangaroo paw plants for the Ruby Garden.

And this popped into the trolley while I was there.
The sweetest little iris....

Out and about.....

Meeting up with Cheryl, Sue and Graeme at the Boardwalk.
A gorgeous morning with these lovely people.

A visit to Mica Grange garden with afternoon tea on the deck overlooking the valley and granite boulders. So beautiful.

I loved these quirky pieces of garden art.

(....the quirkiest piece of garden art below, but not for sale ....)

I adore this one...it reminds me of Flynn.

A spontaneous lunch get together in Geelong with Bill's Dad, Sue and Jo. Sam was able to come along too.

I came away so inspired from a recent library talk about native food cultivation.
And I bought the book!

It is full of the most interesting information about native foods..... growing, propagating and harvesting them and their health benefits. For example: lemon myrtle, native thyme ( prostanthera rotndifolia), davidson's plum, prickly currant bush and white elderberry. I've walked around the garden a hundred times to see if I can find the perfect location for a native food garden.......I'm still thinking about it. Bill's still rolling his eyes.

Farmshop flowers

And a wreath.....

First time flowering since purchase and I'm thrilled to bits.

Flower seedlings ready to be planted.....better wait a bit longer or they'll drown in the predicted rain.

Sweet peas climbing.

Sacrificing....( the little apples ).

Random acts of kindness.
Note in a jar....

And instagram stories....

Jars galore.

Darling little people.

Wildlife visitors.

It's not really Decking the Halls, but I couldn't resist this little guy, purchased from the cheap shop. $10

I've had to move into the shed to play.....

Dried flowers from Bertie's shed....not sure how to use them yet.

Sam cut out some rusty stars from Pa's old tin bits. Not sure how I'll use them either but I'm going to love thinking about it.

These all made me smile.....
These two beautiful souls wearing pink lipstick...( probably mine I'm thinking)!!

This old note on a jar that was part of a huge collection of jars from Teahne's Nana's place to use for my flowers. .....

Hope you're getting some of this rain everyone.
Our gardens and tanks will be so grateful.
Have a lovely weekend.

    1. Thank you Sue. The wattle wreath is looking a bit worse for wear after the wind and rain but funnily enough I still like it looking a bit worn. xx
