Buckets for the builders......
Irises are as tough as old boots.
These clumps were dug up months ago to make room in the rose beds.( may be it was even before the fire ...)
We upended the wheelbarrow and dumped them on the ground beside a tree in the back paddock.
Today I noticed this......
......flowering behind Aunty Audrey's piano frame!
Not even in the ground. Now that's a survivor!
Bertie's shed is finished. We just need a concrete apron at the entrance to allow easy access.
We are very conscious of making sure our new tree plantings are kept watered. That often means a couple of times a week if there is no rain.
Several of them are now peeking over the top of the plastic guards!!
At planting time I sometimes (most times) put three or four in the same spot thinking that they probably wouldn't survive anyway.
Bill might get to use that chainsaw more than he thinks!
New favourite tissue box cover.....
Our builder has asked us to think about where the concrete paving is to go.
Right.
That should be easy enough......
Oh my goodness, we haven't got a clue where we want paving to go or even what sort of paving we want.
Paving is a whole different chapter of the story !! It's hard to work out where to put paths when the rubble pile is there but we will go back out again tonight and have another think.
Bill tells me he is going to go through that rubble at the weekend before it gets loaded up and taken away.
Our painter is still painting ( now that the paint colours have been sorted) and our builder is still doing frames around the windows.
The shed boys are back tomorrow to finish off and clean up.
A new colour out today.....
Pierre De Ronsard looking pink and perfect.
Must be ready for take off surely.....
This little guy just burst into song, with some prompting from Mum.
Yep, that's it. Now I've got it!
Let it gooooo!!!!
( a song from Frozen, the movie.)
Beautiful boy.
Xx.........love the buckets for the builders. Xx
