Christmas is coming......

Christmas tree #1

Decorated with these......

I couldn't leave those decorations in the Xmas bargain shop.
 All $2 each.
Actually I only had $4 in coins and the lady threw the third one in for free!!

These were $3 each....same shop.

The flowers are called achillea.
The red one is called peach ( I say cherry ) and the other is a soft yellow which has now turned a creamy colour. They are quite feathery and lacy.
I have two new ones out in the rose garden
which are yet to come into flower. They look so good at this time of the year and fill up big spaces in between the roses.

A beautiful daylily.
I must remember to split it up this year after flowering ( I suppose that's when you do it).

Grandpa's Rose looking a treat (thanks David B)

And a new lillium in flower.
This one is called Lillium Arachon.
It has a green throat and pure white petals.

A lovely surprise in a parcel this week from our friend Ruth. She made it herself! And she says there's a bigger one to come!

It's off and away......
We're still not sure whether this is a pumpkin or one of the 3 ornamental gourds that were planted in the old vegie patch.

We christened the shed with morning tea this week.

Our painter has been painting all day.
He is back tomorrow.
Our shed man is back on Sunday.
We have had 4 quotes for our paving around the Garden room. We don't expect it to be done before next year.

Bill has been working on the fence to keep Flynn and the dogs in.

And the trusty trailer is there to throw rocks into. We need to clean it up before the soil arrives. There are heaps of rocks up closer to the house that seem to have risen to the surface over the last few months.
Oh and the bit of greenery on the left is a hollyhock sprouting up through the compacted dirt.....tough as old boots!

Can't wait to see you guys.....
Precious little man.
