If only it were that simple.
Like many of you, we are finding it difficult to comprehend the events of yesterday and last night in a Sydney cafe.
No words ..............
Anything that follows seems quite trivial now but I'll post it anyway.
Tree time
I was unsure whether or not our Christmas decorations were burnt.
The tree was in its box in the shed and usually the boxed decorations were stored there too. Not sure how they came to be inside but we were happy to find them in the cupboard. Only because we have gathered quite a collection now and many of them have been given to us and I adore them. I'm sure some of you will recognise them.
And yes, I love a bit of tinsel and shiny stuff!

A wall hanging made with Sam and Amy's help. Sam 11 and Amy 9.
A gift for being a reading Mum in Sam's prep year.!!
The year I went crazy about making Balls!!! Too bad if you didn't like them...chances are you got one anyway!
The cross stitched linen centre piece bought from the op shop for $4 that I made into a cushion. Couldn't believe my eyes when I found this...... someone has probably gone blind trying to sew those tiny stitches.
Garden sightings
I'm so glad I took these garden photos yesterday.
It is blowing a gale of dust out there right now.
Beautiful lillium arachon.
This one has creamy lemon trumpets. Not completely out.... could have even blown right off this afternoon!
One of the new achilleas ( new in our garden) described as having "glistening, bright cherry red flower heads."
Perfect for Christmas.
Some people bits
Bill and Jo discussing all things garden. Thanks for your ideas Jo!
Amy calls this little boy "Flynny Long Lashes."
Getting close now!
Next Monday he arrives......same day as our paving man!
