Wildlife update and 10 months on.......

Wood ducks are such good parents.
We regularly see them in protective mode.
I find it quite remarkable that the whole twelve ducklings have all survived.

Our little willy wagtail couple have just
refurbished the old nest ready for a new batch!( or should that be clutch?)

We have had 40mm of rain over the last few days so the building site has been silent.

Bill got busy in his shed and whipped up a new bench out of an old door and a few left over bits of timber from our building works.
 Very happy with himself.

We decided on a satin finish for our floor. This was the final coat on Sunday.

Amy was scrolling through some photos that she had taken and found these.
Our first viewing of the backyard on Feb 9.....

.....and the following morning.

I have tried to replicate some of the garden photos.

And just a bit more loveliness I found tonight.....

Somehow Nature has a way of making everything feel perfect again......and I can't help marveling at that!

  2. Incredible viewing. So unbelievable how nature and your hard work regenerates. I still feel have this sense of sadness or dismay, (I will find that adjective one day) when I view the fire damage. Yes great pictures. Helen.Bills work bench is a classic. Love the finished flooring too.
