We stayed in Port Hedland last night to catch an early flight back to Melbourne today.
And this is what we saw..........
The Pilbara sunsets are simply stunning.
Port Hedland has an extremely large and busy working harbour and seeing the loading and movement of the massive ships in the centre of town was fascinating. They just seem to glide into position with the help of the tug boats.
Bill loves this country.
I think it's all about the red dirt.
Flynn thinks so too.
Our nephew Ben, took Bill and Sam out fishing.
Apparently they took it in turns to reel a huge fish in to the boat.
In fact, they seem to think it was a shark!
It broke the line eventually.
No photo though. Mmmm.....
Amazing whale sightings in the distance, but too far for a good photo.
The Avengers Party Boy.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't know a single thing about the Avengers before we arrived here. I am now the expert on all things Avenger related. Just had trouble trying to decipher who Hooverine was. Got it now though!
We are back home now.
We will miss all the chatter and play.
And we will look forward to seeing who is going to be wearing these little baby socks in September.
Thanks Helen once again. Marvelous viewing of the country side and Family. xoxo
ReplyDeleteBest way to share what's been going on Sue. Looks like Flynn got mail today. He'll love that! Xx
DeleteOooooooh I can't wait to be chasing that little Iron Man around and getting out on that water! xxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSame......probably won't get out on the water though! May be just at the pool with Ironman!
DeleteSome more great photos mum. Enjoy the break and get ready for some warm weather in October. And some more non stop Flynn chatter haha
ReplyDeleteOh we will definitely be looking forward to that! Not sure about the hot weather though!
Deletegreat pics, bday party looked fun and nothing better than a bit of red dirt. Red dirt is clean dirt.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely different dirt from what we are all used to Jo. I do love how it all looks so perfect up there though.
