A precious privilege

It has been a different morning sunrise for us over the past few weeks.
A Minyip sunrise.

We have been here for several weeks now.
Mum was admitted to hospital with pneumonia and a severe infection. She is back in Minyip now and we are caring for her as long as we are needed.
It will be some time before she recovers her strength but she is happy to be home.
Her friend Olwyn made this for her.

Whilst she was in hospital we received the saddest news of all.
My older sister Dianne had passed away. She was 64.
We are still all coming to terms with our loss.

The bravest kids of all.

And thrown into the mix of things, Flynn turned four.
We love this boy more than words.

Our beautiful leucadendron bed taken before we left home.

Amy has been sending us photos......

Mum has a get-better-by date to strive for. She's been called up for jury duty! First time ever apparently. We think it's hilarious.

This morning we popped her outside to see if Dennis and Bill were making any progress on the sorting of Pa's shed.
Apparently Bill has been a bit too zealous with the cleanup and Den has had to retrieve assorted bits and pieces from the rubbish pile!

I managed to sneak in some sewing and pretty stuff to keep my brain from over thinking.
Twenty eye pillows to send to Kiann who will pass them on to her yoga teacher.

  4. Thank you Helen for keeping your blog updated - you have such a talent for choosing the appropriate words and photos for every occasion. Great to see that Aunty Enid has made it home and I will definitely try to get Mum and Dad over to see her as soon as the sun shines and it is warmer. Sue

    1. Oh gosh, we've talked about you all several times since last Tuesday Sue. Dennis keeps saying that you remind him so much of Aunty Peg. So many memories from our childhood. Yes, we can't wait for a bit of warmer weather here too. Must admit the green grass is lovely to look at though. Xx
