They are the most beautiful couple.
We loved being part of their celebration.
These two......!
A few weeks ago I mentioned that Uncle Bob Baker was planning to jump out of an aeroplane as part of his 90th birthday celebrations.
Last Saturday he jumped.
It was such a remarkable event ( four generations ) that the television news crew from the Today show in Melbourne were there to record the experience, along with lots of family and onlookers.
Uncle Bob, your family are so proud of you.
May you have many more reasons to celebrate.
Around the garden path this week.
I adore planting things in autumn. New things like these......
.......and digging up clumps of plants, splitting the clumps into lots of little bits and replanting. I did that for six hours on Wednesday and loved every minute. I chose mostly the silver/grey ones that are doing so well here at the moment.
And tiny self sown seedlings of verbena bonariensis.
The seedlings are still tiny but haven't missed a beat since being lifted out of the ground.
I'm still filling up spaces.
I plan to do it all again next week too.
Farmer Bill got the axe out and chopped back the creeping boobialla in the leucadendron garden. It keeps the bed cool in the summer but they need some breathing space now. Thankfully it is easy to remove.
Propagating results have been poor during the summer but I noticed a few shoots on Dad's pomegranate cuttings. Three of them anyway.
Not to be deterred, I took some santolina ( more grey) cuttings too.
The little lime tree is looking healthy.
We are always finding little self sown bits around the place. This is one of three mystery botanicals! Usually they will get a halo of stones around them so we don't stand on them or a fence of sticks shoved in to remind us they are there.
I'm still not sure what they are but we'll keep watching to see what happens.
They are in the Ruby Garden.
Some sew and sew.
I can only show you the label at this stage.
Fifteen eye pillows shipped off last week.
Amy and Helen always find something to take back with them.
It was flowers, herbs, figs and green tomatoes last week.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Fabulous celebration of family n friends. Sky diving at 90, now that's amazing. Xox
