That's it!
Great photo Ned.
( Ned took over from Bill).
And managed a selfie or two while he was at it!
A few of us went mushrooming.
But not a mushroom to be seen. Perhaps we were too late. Or maybe there hasn't been enough rain up there. It seemed very dry. Dad would go mushrooming at least once each autumn. He loved them. Mum would often pick them for him from the golf course when she was playing.
Back home.....
Around the garden path.
The glorious colours of autumn right here under our noses.
A beautiful protea called Little Prince.
One of Helen's large leafed succulents. I adore the red outline on each leaf.
Newly sown grass on one of the bare paths. This path always ended up as dirt during the summer months.
Bill dug this pomegranate sucker ( seedling) from Dad's old vegie patch. We'll put it in the orchard and see what happens.

Two pittosporums with variegated foliage on sale at the nursery to use in flower posies when they get bigger.
I have made two compost heaps now.
A mix of straw, mulched bits from the garden, shredded newspaper and pulverised horse manure.
Then used whatever was in reach to hold it all in place.
Not pretty I know.
You can tell that this was my project. Farmer Bill would never have his compost piles looking like this.
They looked like normal mushrooms.
They smelt like normal mushrooms.
But with all the media discussion about poisonous ones, we just couldn't bring ourselves to eat them.
We finally bought one......
FaceTime kisses being blown our way.
Only days to go before we get to see these little guys.
Have a great week everyone.
I'll be doing what Grandmas do.
So much to look forward to.
Fantastic Helen lovely blogging.
