It faces east so gets the morning sun ( if there IS any) and it seems to be quite warm in there.
I used some of Dad's tin trays and recycled plastic strawberry containers.
Seed sizes vary enormously.
Zinnias, cosmos, salvias, cleome, billy buttons and gypsophila.
They've been in for seven days now and not a smidge of germination to be seen......yet.
Pots of delphinium, coneflower, agastache and meadow sage have been planted and seedlings of false Queen Anne's lace and purple cerinthe ( both very new to me).
Farmer Bill has turned over the compost pile up the back. We will start throwing some of that around everywhere soon.
One of my greatest gardening joys is checking my "propagation pots" to see what's been going on. I keep the pots in recycled plastic bags with pegs to hold them closed and they often get forgotten about over winter. Most of the cuttings were taken in April/May. Once again it's all just hit and miss.
There were several good strikes.......and plenty of misses.
And some that appeared to be still alive but hadn't formed roots. I poked them in the ground anyway. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
We even ended up with a few "blocks" of plantings heaven forbid. That is, eight or nine ( odd number is better) of the same plant in one "block".
We visited Marce and Jesse in their gorgeous old house.
They only recently took possession and have already attacked the renovation with gusto. It's a delightful house full of character features and will make a beautiful home for them in the future.
We sat outside under the back veranda for afternoon tea.
Fathers Day in Minyip was freezing but we all pitched in and weeded, mowed and whippersnipped. Bill was in charge of feeding us.
Canola crops as we flew past.
My favourite flowers at the moment.....
In the little green wagon loaded up for my farmshop last week......
Sewing stuff......
A pretty new cushion.
A mini matching floor cushion.
Our littlest baby girl.
The girls were off to a winter wedding at the weekend.
We'll be lucky to have a single bulb left on the place if this keeps going.
This is what remains. Little devils.
Enjoy your week everyone.
I'll keep on digging and planting and moving and weeding every chance I get. And of course ducking in and out of the shed to check on the progress of those little seeds.....
